When I was a little girl, all I wanted was to be a grown up
Because I thought I could win a run against my friends
Because I thought I could give a cuddle to that lovely puppy
What I mean is,
I wanted to become a super-rich grown up
Because I thought I could eat my favourite jelly as much as I wanted
Because I thought I could play any games I like as much as I wanted

Riding on a time, fast like a light
I'm still growing up
I'm still growing up
Fighting against all sort of things
Trying everything so I can do what I want
I'm getting the courage to face my fears
You know why, because one day, when I look back
I just wanna say that I never forgot my childhood dream
My childhood dream

When I was a little girl, all I wanted was to be a grown up
Because I thought I could not be so scared for being alone
Because I thought I could run away far away from the dentist
What I mean is,
I wanted to become a super-brave grown up
Because I thought I could stop crying when I fall and hurt myself
Because I thought I could say that I like you more than jelly

Riding on a time, fast like a light
I'm still growing up
I'm still growing up
Fighting against all sort of things
Trying everything so I can do what I want
I'm getting the courage to face my fears
You know why, because one day, when I look back
I just wanna say that I never forgot my childhood dream
My childhood dream
