A Four Leaf Clover is a song composed and sung by J.Fla. The song was released in the album "Burn The Flower" on June 8, 2023 and the music video was released on July 14, 2023.
Background & Composition
The song is related to the story that happened around 2015. The singer was singing at a small motorway service station, but there was no reaction. So she felt depressed and just wanted to quickly leave the scene and run away.[1] After finishing the performance, she came down from the stage to leave. But an older lady stopped her to hand a four-leaf clover and say I enjoyed the song. Your voice is so good
.[2] This woman was like a ray of sunshine in the middle of cloudy weather. She was very comforted to see that someone was listening to and liking her music. J.Fla has never forgotten this moment which gave her the courage that she shouldn't give up. After this experience, she felt like she had many lucky moments.[3]
A Four Leaf Clover is a song she worked on reminiscing about that evening and appreciating the genuine warmness she felt. This song presents the atmosphere and how she felt in that special moment, in a narrative tone, just like she am telling you a story.[2]
Lyrics
Original lyrics (English)[4]
Once I sang at a service station by a motor way Nobody knew me Nobody looked at me Nobody cared about me I wanna go home haven't even sang yet My voice was shaky Blushed like anything Such a 'Stupid Story'
As the song ends I ran away without looking back Someone is calling me out of the blue “Excuse me, miss” “Wait for me, hold on” “How I loved your song, such a great voice you have” “Would you take this for me?”
She hands me something ever so awkwardly A beautifully dried lovely four-leaf clover, a lovely clover Tapping on my back saying do not give up Here she was before me just like a shining angel, just like an angel
Oh, I'm not sure if I can take this So touched I was, not a lonely I wasn't any more After asking what my name is she goes “Good luck for you” “I will remember you”
She hands me something ever so awkwardly A beautifully dried lovely four-leaf clover, a lovely clover Tapping on my back saying do not give up Here she was before me just like a shining angel, just like an angel
And she vanishes off Planting a fresh four-leaf clover in my heart in my heart ❤️
